In her former life, Erin Petrella worked as a landscaper-gardener, did metadata for digital archives, and earned an MLS in rare books and manuscripts. She has also trained in twentieth century philosophy, specifically critical social theory and non-classical systems of logic. As a result, her research interests include the development of botanical Latin, the history of logic and notions of truth, satire, and the history of the book. She also likes to run ultramarathons and eat olives.
